Cloud Drive Mapper (CDM) 3.19.1 (Pre-release) Hotfix

If you’re using CDM 3.19, we strongly recommend installing this hotfix, as it addresses critical issues related to throttling during the drive mapping process and a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error specifically associated with running CDM and Trend MicroTM on the same machine.

Enhancements

  • When we introduced CDM’s ability to store cache data within your OneDrive in release 3.19, we noticed that this enhancement was causing throttling during the drive mapping process, with the possibility of blocking it altogether. We’ve refactored this enhancement to ensure that CDM sends a request to Microsoft 365 only when it does not have the remote ID of the cache file within Microsoft 365.

  • We noticed that sometimes, when CDM is throttled, Microsoft may return a re-entry time of several hours, which can cause CDM to appear unresponsive or hung. To counter this experience, we’re introducing customizable minimum and maximum retry values up to 60 seconds on every call to reduce throttling.
